Sig P6

This is a German police trade-in Sig Sauer P6 that was recently completed with our “Sig carry package”. This particular customer requested that we add 30lpi checkering to the front of our solid stainless steel guide rod along with similar checkering on the off side of the take down lever. Also requested were the Hogue Extreme® checkered aluminum grips in lieu of stippling the factory plastic parts. While we built this package around the P6/P225 we can apply this to most of the Sig “Classic” series pistols.

3-Gun Production Class

This is an example of an STI Duty 1 that we modified for use in 3-gun Production class. By adding the mag-well we had to remove over 1.5 oz of steel to keep the gun legal. We added a third cross-slot to the pic-rail, machined High Power cuts, undercut the slide, beveled the take-down side of the slide stop, recessed the mag-release button, undercut the trigger guard and re-tuned the action before re-bluing the entire pistol.

Colt Combat Target

This is an example of some of the work we can do to a 1911 style pistol. This customer brought this pistol to us after having had work done by another “gunsmith”. This required, among other things, to build up and re-cut the frame for the beavertail safety; fill, blend, and re-cut the front sight dovetail and replace all of the fire control parts. Some of the other work performed was:

• Refit after market match barrel using new Ed Brown match barrel bushing
• Tighten slide to frame fit
• Lower and flare ejection port
• Hand serrate slide top 30 lines per inch
• Cut Colt factory style front cocking serrations
• French cut slide
• Fit ambidextrous thumb safety and relieve rubber grips for no-binding operation
• Install over travel stop into factory trigger
• Delete 80-series safety mechanism
• Checker front strap 20 lines per inch
• Install and blend magazine chute
• Bead blasted entire pistol to remove wear marks and scratches
