@sigsauerUSA MCX and MPX series are notorious for having overly tight muzzle devices from the factory. These photos show the results of trying to remove a factory flash hider without the proper fixturing. In the first two, the owner tried to hold the receiver relying on the small index pins to counter the torque leading to substantial damage to the receiver. The 3rd and 4th pics are after he tried to grab the gas block. Enough torque was applied that the taper pins were crushed. The bottom line is, if it doesn’t come off easily, bring it to someone who has the equipment and experience to get it done right.
