Description

Allegheny Gun Works Tapered Gas Block Mounts are designed to be used in conjunction with OPS Inc., Allen Engineering and Otter Creek Labs over the barrel suppressors. Using our block, you can achieve the shortest possible configuration for mounting OPS/AE/OCL suppressors on compatible AR pattern firearms. Fits .750″ gas block journals and measures 1.040″ from the rear shoulder to front of the gas tube feature for best fit to your rail. Made from Parkerized 4140 ordnance steel. APPROXIMATE OAL RIFLE-16.56″ MID-13.56″ CARB-11.56″ **Not compatible with JR Machine Solvent traps**

These photos show the results of trying to remove a factory flash hider without the proper fixturing. In the first two, the owner tried to hold the receiver relying on the small index pins to counter the torque leading to substantial damage to the receiver. The 3rd and 4th pics are after he tried to grab the gas block. Enough torque was applied that the taper pins were crushed. The bottom line is, if it doesn’t come off easily, bring it to someone who has the equipment and experience to get it done right.
